Take this, Julie Andrews
Ella has been watching "The Sound of Music" in mini chunks the last few days, and in honor of that (and because I'm too tired to wax pseudo philosophic tonight), here are some of my favorite things (presently):
- A new sweatshirt before it gets washed (example: I just washed the Carolina zip-up hooded sweatshirt I got for Christmas!)
- Finding just the right pair of shoes or jeans
- Breyer's mint chocolate chip ice cream
- Veal parmegiana (spelling?)
- On TV: Scrubs, Arrested Development, Lost, West Wing (yes, still), just about anything on ESPN Classic (we recently go this, and man, do I love it! Who knew that I could watch a UConn-Syracuse game from 1991 and be interested?)
- March Madness, especially with the Heels good again
- Going out to breakfast
- Non fiction
- Ella's giggle
- Nicola's eyes
- Lindsay's innocence
- Non competitive miniature golf
- Ping pong (preferably played while listening to Kool & the Gang)
- Las Brisas in Acapulco (I so want to go back someday to this amazing hotel)
- These great sheets we have
- White noise
- Old friends
- A clean car
- Live sporting events (I should do the full list someday...for example I've been to 14 different major league ballparks and 9 different minor league parks, not to mention Washington Warthogs indoor soccer and box lacrosse in Baltimore!)
- Floor hockey
- Dwight Evans (highly under-rated right fielder for the Red Sox, 1972-1990)
